Beaufort Sea Ice Floe Satellite Monitoring Systems – Monitoring systems designed with the University of Manitoba examining the distribution of ice floes in the Canadian Arctic and the environmental factors that contribute to their spatial re-distribution. These monitoring stations were equipped with state of the art climate and geospatial monitoring instrumentation providing near real-time information on the climatic factors and geospatial location of ice floes of interest in an effort to understand the factors that contribute to their movements in the Beaufort Sea.
